Our Ministries

We have a volunteer choir, hand bell choir, reader, communion assistant, and various other opportunities to participate in worship.

Our ladies of the church are active in the Women's ELCA group with our local Circle of Friends that meets the first Thursday of the month.

We are currently reworking our Sunday School offerings.

Our Adult Sunday School meets at 8:30 am. We read books from contemporary Christian authors and discuss. We have also done movie and video discussions.

Members meet once a month for fellowship, appetizers and a lunchtime meal.

Dr. Christine Blice-Baum leads a meditation class at 10:00 am Tuesday mornings.   

This class is led in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and will consist of welcome, opening meditation, walking meditation, discussion and closing meditation. 

Members visit Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Home on the last Thursday of the month to celebrate birthdays with the residents.

We support various social programs throughout Charleston with donations of needed supplies to our Sunflower box, Christmas in July and other activities.

This support group is in partnership with Crescent Counseling. It meets to work with people that feel hurt by religious organizations.

There are multiple AA groups that meet here at the church:
